The BSc (Hons) Health, Wellbeing and Social Care programme prepares students to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals, families, and communities by developing the knowledge, skills, and values required for contemporary health and social care practice. The programme explores the physical, psychological, and social factors that influence health and wellbeing while promoting person-centred, ethical, and inclusive approaches to care. Students study key areas including public health, social care policy, safeguarding, mental health, health promotion, community development, communication, leadership, and professional practice.

Through a combination of academic learning, case studies, practical activities, research projects, and work-based experiences, students gain valuable insight into the challenges and opportunities within health and social care services. About Program

The BSc (Hons) Health, Wellbeing and Social Care programme is designed to prepare compassionate, knowledgeable, and skilled professionals who are committed to improving the quality of life for individuals, families, and communities. The programme provides a comprehensive understanding of the factors that influence physical, mental, emotional, and social wellbeing, while equipping students with the practical and professional skills required to deliver person-centred, ethical, and evidence-based care across a wide range of settings. Emphasis is placed on promoting health, preventing illness, supporting vulnerable populations, and addressing the complex social challenges that affect wellbeing.

Students explore a broad range of subjects, including public health, health promotion, mental health, safeguarding, social care policy, community development, leadership, communication, psychology, equality and diversity, and professional practice. Throughout the programme, academic learning is reinforced through case studies, practical workshops, research projects, collaborative learning, and opportunities to engage with real-world health and social care issues.
